[Sold] Air Traffic – zendoodle fountain pen

When asked why the whales were being strapped to balloons, Hanna, the artist, looked surprised and said, “Well whales can’t swim over land so obviously they need to travel by balloon.” Hence the name, Air Traffic. (Obviously.)
This is the first in Hanna’s Whale Tale series of zendoodled fountain pens. It features two whales, a Victorian hot air balloon, a steampunky-galleon-gondola with a distinctive fin for a rudder; waves; lots of tiny houses and trees dotted across rolling hills down below and a night sky with stars and a crescent moon above. Oh, and the gondola has a lifebuoy attached. Obviously.
Hanna painted the background in multiple layers of watercolour, then doodled her artwork on to one of our fountain pen blanks that we specifically designed for the purpose. Once the artwork was complete we coated it in an outer layer of clear resin which allows the owner to carry and use this art on a daily basis without it getting scratched or damaged. A portable, functional, one-of-one original.
This fountain pen has a turquoise grip section, a sterling silver cap band and section ring, plus a logo in the cap finial and is supplied with an engraved stainless steel Jowo nib.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a relatively wide girth of 16 mm (0,6″) narrowing to a 10,5 mm (0,4″) grip section. It has our logo on the finial, and the finial is ever-so-slightly rounded, rather than dead flat, which adds to the pen’s elegance.

The section can be made to fit either a Bock #6 or a Jowo #6 nib.
