Jade Treasure

The beads on this pen are Miyukis from Japan in shades of cobalt, amethyst, royal purple, 24kt coated gold and jade. Jade has been associated with bringing good fortune to its wearer for thousands of years …

I love spelunking down search-engine rabbit holes in search of ideas for naming our pens. Did you know that “… the finest jade, when found in nuggets of “mutton fat” jade, … so-named for its marbled white consistency …” can sell for an absolute fortune? (Thanks Wikipedia!)

(I did think about calling the material we used for making this unique fountain pen, “mutton fat jade”, but it just doesn’t seem to roll off the tongue.) The resin is an in-house pour and therefore each pen will be similar, but not identical to the one shown.

Should you become the owner of Jade Treasure, we hope it will bring you good fortune!

African Miyuki Magic model

This model is a beaded pen that we make in a number of different variations in terms of the areas that can be beaded: either the cap or the barrel, or both cap and barrel. It is a wide pen with sides that appear parallel, however this is a slight taper between the beaded areas and the finials. The finials are very slightly conical and the cap is a flush fit with the barrel.
