Little Italy – part of The Mob series of painted fountain pens

Inspired by the books and movies, The Godfather I and II, Little Italy, painted by Hanna Farmer, as part of her series called, The Mob. In such a tiny space, she has managed to portray Don Corleone, head of a fictional Mafia family. The barrel has a scene of the young Vito Corleone arriving in New York on a sailing ship, with the Statue of Liberty seen over the ship’s railing. Above that is a scene of the Little Italy in the 1920s, the Don’s car and chess pieces. The image of the chess pieces continues on the cap, only here they are being manipulated like marionettes.
Each of the pens in this series has an actual bullet casing embedded in the barrel finial, and a hand-made silver roll stop in the shape of a revolver. The roll stops were designed and created by jeweller Aileen Février.
The pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, drawn and painted by Hanna then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polished, and buffed. It has a silver cap band, section ring, and logo medallion in the cap finial.
Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art. If you have seen a pen painted by Hanna that has been sold, you are more than welcome to contact us with a request for a pen on a similar theme, or to request a custom pen in a unique theme of your own.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 10,7 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their artwork, and the artwork is encased in a layer of clear resin to protect it from getting damaged during day-to-day use. Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap is a flush-fit and does not post. The Jabulani model usually comes with a hand-made, cap band and section ring in either Argentium silver or bronze, though this may differ depending on what best suits the artwork. Custom hand-crafted roll stops can be added.

We supply our pens with a Jowo #6 nib, alternatively the section can be made to fit a Bock #6 if requested.
