[Sold] Noble Grace – hand-painted fountain pen

Noble Grace is the fitting name of this pen, with a white Arab stallion and a flaxen chestnut on the barrel, and on the cap a magnificent horse which has a white star on its forehead, caught in mid-stride. This pen has so much beauty and grace it is difficult to not get emotional just looking at it.

Having ridden and owned horses for many years, Zelna has a natural affinity for them. She even hand-makes western saddles and is often commissioned to paint her deeply atmospheric portraits of horses and cattle. She has a passion for all things western and her artworks involving working cowboys have gained her recognition as one of the few artists from outside the United States who accurately captures the romance (and dust and hard work) of the cowboy genre.

Some more background on the process: We created the blank which Zelna then painted. Once she had completed her artwork, we coated it in a layer of clear resin so as to allow the ultimate owner to carry and use this art on a daily basis without it getting scratched or damaged. We also added a grip section in a glossy black colour, then did a final shaping, polishing and buffing. Finally we will tune the nib once the new owner has chosen the nib width they would prefer. The end product is a portable, functional, one-of-a kind work of art.

This particular pen also has a bronze cap band and section ring, and a medallion embedded in the cap finial which has our logo in bronze.
