[Sold] Poetry is in the Writing – zendoodled fountain pen

Hanna Farmer has created a beautiful pen celebrating poetry and flowers, and has not only covered the pen in flowers, but in poetry too! The poems are excerpts from The Flower by Alfred, Lord Tennyson, May-Flower by Emily Dickinson and Ah Sunflower by William Blake. This would be remarkable enough on a large canvas, but on the tiny surface of a fountain pen, her achievement is astounding. When I asked how she could possibly manage to write in such a miniature script, Hanna told me that in her first year of studying architectural draughting, she was made to write lines and lines of tiny wording for the specifications by hand. Little did she know then what she would be doing with this skill all these years later!

The design bursts with flowers and leaves and tendrils and pollen and fertility. The colours are a lovely blue-grey, a muted yellow and occasional spots of a gentle orange. We have added a blue-heading-towards-turquoise section, a sterling silver cap band, silver section ring and bronze medallion with our logo embedded in the cap finial.
