[Sold] Protea nerifolia – original art fountain pen

R6,000

This protea, painted by Lisa Strachan, is one of the most popular cut flowers exported from South Africa. It is tough and long-lasting, yet has the most delicate tufts of black fluff at the edges of the flower’s bracts, and the actual flowers, protected by the outer bracts are also soft and fragile looking. Lisa has managed to capture this delicacy in her superb artwork. We have added a pale pinky-violet section that complements the pen’s subtle palette.

Out of interest, this protea species is pollinated by scarab beetle and other beetles as well as birds.

This is an original, one-of-a-kind work of art, signed by the artist. By encasing the painting in clear resin we enable to owner to carry it and use it on a daily basis without damaging the artwork.

This pen has a sterling silver ring in the section and our logo medallion embedded in the cap’s finial.
