[Sold] Sunrise – zendoodle fountain pen

Sunrise is spectacular in this seaside town. With its marine theme, this pen forms part of the Life’s A Beach series by Hanna Farmer. The barrel has a yolk-yellow sun breaking through the deep blue-grey clouds, spreading bright light across the water. In the foreground are lots of little boats in bright reds and yellows bobbing through the waves, and a stone pier and buildings overlooking the ocean.
On the cap is an even longer stone pier and dozens of houses drawn in meticulous detail and painted in colourful stripes of orange, red, blue and yellow. There are two fish-shaped weathervanes, a whale-shaped one, and one which has an actual bird nesting on top of it. Even the lifebuoy, which is a mere 3mm wide, is instantly recognisable.
Hanna painted the background in multiple layers of watercolour, then doodled her artwork on to one of our fountain pen blanks that we specifically designed for the purpose. Once the artwork was complete we coated it in an outer layer of clear resin which allows the owner to carry and use this art on a daily basis without it getting scratched or damaged. A portable, functional, one-of-one original.
This fountain pen has a turquoise grip section, a sterling silver cap band and section ring, plus a logo in the cap finial and is supplied with an engraved stainless steel Jowo nib.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a relatively wide girth of 16 mm (0,6″) narrowing to a 10,5 mm (0,4″) grip section. It has our logo on the finial, and the finial is ever-so-slightly rounded, rather than dead flat, which adds to the pen’s elegance.
