Surf clamshell fountain pen
This handcrafted pen is inspired by the subtle colours found in surf clamshells; an African shellfish found buried in the sand in the intertidal surf zone. The shell’s delicate colours range from the gentlest of pinks and purples to extreme pastels where the colours are barely discernible.
We have made our pens in subtle hues, accentuating the shells’ palette by adding a ring of shimmery violet at the bottom end of the barrel, two slim rings in a deep rose at the top of the barrel and two more slim rings of intense blurple at the top of the cap. The grip section is made from the same material as the pen body.
New model: Jabulani (Zulu for “rejoice”). This is a gently curvaceous model, with a relatively wide girth of 16 mm (0,63″) narrowing to an 10,5 mm (0,4″) grip section and tapering to rounded ends. Triple start thread.
New finial bearing our logo: this is the first of our models to bear our new logo (the ‘crown’ made out of nibs). The finial is beautifully rounded, rather than dead flat, which adds to the pen’s voluptuousness.
