Together We Can hand-painted fountain pen

R3,200

This has got to be one of my all-time favourite pens painted by Su Wolf. Together We Can is an absolute stunner and the story of how all those glorious colours came about is similarly intriguing:

While Su is painting with her favourite acrylics, she falls in love with all the fabulous colours and cannot bear to see any of them go to waste … which they would do only too easily as the acrylic dries in a matter of minutes. Hence she keeps a spare pen blank by her side while she works, and if she has any leftover paint she blobs it on to this blank. This this becomes her ‘blob blank’. And again, rather than waste this blank, she then set about finding a creative way to use all those delicious colours. In this case she painted the background in the black and created fantastical birds and flowers in the underlying riot of colours. Seriously swoonworthy.
