[Sold] Ukiyo – the floating world fountain pen

R9,500

The Japanese word Ukiyo is the inspiration behind this hand-painted fountain pen … the floating world, detached from daily realities, dreamlike, transitory, yet still lightly anchored to others. Hanna has taken this idea and played with it, incorporating quirky hanging gardens and towns aloft in the clouds, joined by rope ladders and flag buntings … a swing hanging suspended in space ,,, a cat fishing over the side of an island in the air … an air yacht, with a propellor in the expected place as well as one on top of the mast, tethered to an island, with another cat on board.

The pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, painted and zendoodled by Hanna Farmer, then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polish, and buffing. It has a bronze section ring and bronze logo medallion in the finial. One of a kind!
