Urchin – dot art fountain pen

R4,500

Inspired by sea urchins which have the most amazingly intricate dot patterns on their shells, Di chose a similar colour scheme to create this dot art, showing the gradual change from one colour fading into another. An interesting aspect about sea urchins is that they have five-fold symmetry (called pentamerism). Sea urchins have rounded dots, called tubercles, to which the spines are attached. The spines are used for defence and to move around.
