[Sold] Yellow Urchin – dot art fountain pen
R4,500
Di painted this pen in her Sea Urchin series, but played with colour, painting the larger dots in shades of yellow (and unlike what the photos depict, the larger dots grade down to a pale yellow rather than a pale-grey-turquoise). In fact, the camera detects up what they eye cannot, as the background colour is in fact a deep turquoise, hence the smaller dots are picking up a bit of blue. The pairs of tiny dots are in rows of orange and of a light mauve, and within those dots are even tinier dots of either yellow or pink, with flecks of gold or rose gold showing through here and there.
This pen has a bronze cap band, section ring and logo medallion embedded in the cap’s finial. The grip section is a deep, glossy black that has been sanded, buffed and polished to a mirror shine. The Jowo nib is engraved with our SPS (Stanford Pen Studio) logo with its crown made up of three nibs.
Nib:
Available in Jowo #6 in polished steel. Please select Fine, Medium or Broad at the check-out.

This is a gently curvaceous model, with a relatively wide girth of 16 mm (0,6″) narrowing to a 10,5 mm (0,4″) grip section. It has our logo on the finial, and the finial is ever-so-slightly rounded, rather than dead flat, which adds to the pen’s elegance.
