[Sold] Dancing in the Deep – fountain pen

R6,000

This is Carla Nel’s first pen for Stanford Pen Studio. We love how she has captured undersea life in such an unusual way. Another artist might have portrayed the tentacles as menacing, but in Carla’s painting they are graceful and lithe … an octopus dancing! And her colours … subtle, watercolour effects with aquamarine, cerulean, teal and turquoise. And her playful fishes are delightful.

This pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, drawn and painted by Carla Nel, then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polish, and buffing. It has a bronze cap band and logo medallion in the finial, and a bluey-turquoise grip section.

One thing we must emphasise is that each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.
