Gustav Klimt is Kseniia Nel’s favourite artist and here she has created her interpretation of one of his most famous works, Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I. In Kseniia’s painting Adele has a more wistful, enigmatic expression, while her clothes and surroundings are as opulent and exotic as the original … the Egyptian-inspired motifs, the flowing fabric, her lustrous cloak, the background, all are dazzling in their gold and striking colours, even her hair glistens with gold dust. Kseniia has also captured porcelain skin, her slender elegant neck. This is an homage to a masterpiece, and a magnificent work of art in its own right.
Lana le Roux mixed a custom colour for the section material that accentuates the indigo blues in Kseniia’s painting, and we have added a bronze cap band, section ring and logo in the finial.
