When it comes to commissions, we ask clients to contact us with a request for the artist to consider and we then liaise with the artist (so as to free them up to do what they do best.) If the artist is happy to go ahead, they create the artwork and we send a photo to the client. If the client is happy, we go ahead and make the pen.  Artists can make minimal changes at this stage if needed. Commissions typically involve more stress for the artist (and toing-and-froing for us) and therefore command a higher price than a artwork that comes to us spontaneously.  The timeframe for a commissioned painted fountain pen is currently 6-8 weeks.  For some artists with a waitlist, it might be up to 6 months.

If you don’t have a specific theme in mind but admire a particular artist, you can also request a custom pen designed in their unique style and artistic flair.
