Hathor Reborn art fountain pen

ZAR9,500.00

On this fountain pen Brandon Lodewyk has given his interpretation of Hathor, the Egyptian goddess of beauty, love and fertility. who was one of the most powerful and popular of the goddesses. He drew the fabric from her clothes to flow almost like desert sands. The sistrum, a symbol representing a musical instrument, represents the joy she brings. And do note her crown, with a fountain pen as a bonus!!

The cap shows cow horns and earns, symbols of the goddess, surrounded by lotus flowers and papyrus reeds, together with emblems of rebirth and growth. Up top is the sun, which shows her deep connection with Ra, and Brandon has also included the eye of Ra. He says this is not just fountain pen art, this is part of history reborn.

This fountain pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, illustrated by Brandon in graphite then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polished, and buffed. Dave made the pen and has added a handmade silver section ring, and cap band and incorporated our silver logo medallion inside a bronze circle which is embedded in the cap finial.

Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is an original work of art. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.

The Jabulani model

SPECIFICATIONS

This is a gently curvaceous model, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 10,7 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their artwork, and the artwork is encased in a layer of clear resin to protect it from getting damaged during day-to-day use. Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap is a flush-fit and does not post. The Jabulani model usually comes with a hand-made, cap band and section ring in either Argentium silver or bronze, though this may differ depending on what best suits the artwork. Custom hand-crafted roll stops can be added.
