Meditation in Blue hand-painted fountain pen

Kseniia Nel is one of the independent artists who hand-paints original artwork on to fountain pens that we hand-craft in our workshop in Stanford. Kseniia says she painted this pen as a form of meditation, when she had some time to sit quietly and not worry about all the day-to-day things going on around her, and just allow her muse to dictate what was going to happen. And what a result! The background is a powder blue with smatterings of gold shimmer. Her flowers, painted in an almost stencil-style, are delicate and so perfect … to be able to paint something this precise freehand is to me just short of miraculous. And something I loved noticing (and I doubt Kseniia even knows they are there) is that some of the flowers have a heart-shape as their central petal. This shows how happy she was when she painted this fountain pen.
Lana le Roux mixed a deep sparkly blue resin for the section material and we have added a handmade silver cap band, section ring and logo in the finial.
Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is an original work of art. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 10,7 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their artwork, and the artwork is encased in a layer of clear resin to protect it from getting damaged during day-to-day use. Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap is a flush-fit and does not post. The Jabulani model usually comes with a hand-made, cap band and section ring in either Argentium silver or bronze, though this may differ depending on what best suits the artwork. Custom hand-crafted roll stops can be added.

We supply our pens with a Jowo #6 nib, alternatively the section can be made to fit a Bock #6 if requested.
