African Ésprit – hand-painted fountain pen
In African Ésprit, Mardee combines zebra stripes with traditional Ndebele wall-art patterns, and adds a wonderful vibrancy through his use of colour. We have paired his painting with a glossy black section and the effect is bright, sparkly, dramatic, contemporary, fun and definitely eye-catching.
Mardee painted his artwork on to one of our fountain pen blanks that we specifically designed for the purpose. Once the artwork was complete we coated it in an outer layer of clear resin which allows the owner to carry and use this art on a daily basis without it getting scratched or damaged. A portable, functional, one-of-one original.
This fountain pen has a bronze cap band, a bronze logo medallion embedded in the cap finial and is supplied with an engraved stainless steel Jowo nib.
Available in Jowo #6 in polished steel. Please select Fine, Medium or Broad at the check-out.
The Jabulani model
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a relatively wide girth of 16 mm (0,6″) narrowing to a 10,5 mm (0,4″) grip section. It has our logo on the finial, and the finial is ever-so-slightly rounded, rather than dead flat, which adds to the pen’s elegance.
