Dutch tulips hand-painted fountain pen

Since moving to the Netherlands, Kseniia Nel has been influenced by the Dutch love of flowers and of flowers painted on porcelain. After visiting tulip fields in May, and seeing lots of Delft pottery, she was inspired to paint in a similar style. This scene of tulips in an elegantly simple design, harks back to Delft tiles from the 17th century. Kseniia has added subtle gold outlines and dots of gold that accentuate the flowers’ beauty. Every time I see this pen I have to check myself, as I know the background is made of resin yet Kseniia has been able to give it the impression of fine white porcelain, that seems almost translucent.
Lana le Roux mixed a custom Delft-blue resin for the section material and we have added a hand-crafted silver cap band, section ring and logo in the finial.
Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 10,7 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their artwork, and the artwork is encased in a layer of clear resin to protect it from getting damaged during day-to-day use. Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap is a flush-fit and does not post. The Jabulani model usually comes with a hand-made, cap band and section ring in either Argentium silver or bronze, though this may differ depending on what best suits the artwork. Custom hand-crafted roll stops can be added.

We supply our pens with a Jowo #6 nib, alternatively the section can be made to fit a Bock #6 if requested.
