Hanna Farmer’s artwork on this pen celebrates an haute couture studio in Paris in the late Victorian era. It was a time of ruffles, rouches, lace, ribbons, bows, crinoline cages, bustles, bustiers, voluminous petticoats, corsets stiffened with whalebone and laced so tight that the lady inside had a wasp-waist … and was prone to swooning! A couturier would have been working with fabrics with such evocative names as taffeta, organdie, velvet, foulard, chintz, satin and moiré. Hanna’s studio shows not only the dressmakers’ dummies, but also details such as the Eiffel Tower in the distance, a sewing machine, a phonograph, hats, a chaise lounge, chequerboard flooring, and ornate windows looking on fascinating views. How Hanna fits all of this on to a fountain pen is astonishing!
The pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, painted and drawn by Hanna then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polished, and buffed. It has a bronze cap band, section ring, and bronze logo medallion in the cap finial, and we have added a glossy black grip section.
Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art, hence no-one else will ever own an identical pen.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a relatively wide girth of 16 mm (0,6″) narrowing to a 10,5 mm (0,4″) grip section. It has our logo on the finial, and the finial is ever-so-slightly rounded, rather than dead flat, which adds to the pen’s elegance.

The section can be made to fit either a Bock #6 or a Jowo #6 nib.
