I love Carla Nel’s quirky side. At work she is a serious graphic design professional, but when she paints our fountain pens, she lets her childlike creative side come out to play. Her Mosaic Kitty pen combines her latest obsession with mosaics, her love of cats, and an experiment with a cartoony style that has a cat separated on the cap and barrel … a mosaic kitty!
One thing I must mention – I am being driven demented trying to get an accurate representation in my photos for the colour for the section material. It is a light, dusty pink with streaks of shimmer that shows up best in the video I posted on social media. (Not the dark almost chocolate pink that shows on the photographs.) Sorry!
Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is an original work of art. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 10,7 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their artwork, and the artwork is encased in a layer of clear resin to protect it from getting damaged during day-to-day use. Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap is a flush-fit and does not post. The Jabulani model usually comes with a hand-made, cap band and section ring in either Argentium silver or bronze, though this may differ depending on what best suits the artwork. Custom hand-crafted roll stops can be added.

We supply our pens with a Jowo #6 nib, alternatively the section can be made to fit a Bock #6 if requested.
