[Sold] Rosemaling hand-painted fountain pen
Kseniia Nel is an artist from Ukraine who is currently living in a neighbouring town here on the southern top of Africa. She is an accomplished artist and immediately took to the idea of painting on fountain pens. Her first three pens are fabulous! This one is inspired by the distinctive Scandinavian folk art form called rosemaling, or rose-painting, which involves stylised flowers or flowing patterns, usually C- or S-shaped, with scrollwork or fine lines. Kseniia painted the background gold colour in six separate layers, going around and around the pen to give an impression of wrapped silk thread. She included a band of light bluey-turquoise on the cap, then painted the distinctive rosemaling patterns in an elegant, understated white, with dotted gold embellishments.
We have added turquoise grip section, an engraved nib, our logo medallion in bronze, and a bronze cap band and bronze section ring.
One thing we should emphasise is that each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 10,7 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their artwork, and the artwork is encased in a layer of clear resin to protect it from getting damaged during day-to-day use. Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap is a flush-fit and does not post. The Jabulani model usually comes with a hand-made, cap band and section ring in either Argentium silver or bronze, though this may differ depending on what best suits the artwork. Custom hand-crafted roll stops can be added.

We supply our pens with a Jowo #6 nib, alternatively the section can be made to fit a Bock #6 if requested.
