When all seems to be going so well, then suddenly it isn’t any more, a hug from that one special person in your life can make all the difference. Brandon Lodewyk is a story teller in graphite. He has drawn Baby Rhino galloping along, flying his kite until suddenly it gets snagged in a branch. When the whole world seems to have come crashing down, that hug from that one special person, in this case Baby Rhino’s mom, can heal the hurt and bring back the joy.
Brandon’s art captures beauty and emotion so deftly. This is a wonderful fountain pen with an African vibe and a whole ton of warmth to remind us of all the love we’ve received in our lives, just when we needed it most … .and to give some of that love to others when their kite gets snagged.
This fountain pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, illustrated by Brandon in graphite then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polished, and buffed. We have added a bronze section ring, bronze cap band, and our silver logo medallion is inside a bronze circle embedded in the cap finial.
Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is an original work of art. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 10,7 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their artwork, and the artwork is encased in a layer of clear resin to protect it from getting damaged during day-to-day use. Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap is a flush-fit and does not post. The Jabulani model usually comes with a hand-made, cap band and section ring in either Argentium silver or bronze, though this may differ depending on what best suits the artwork. Custom hand-crafted roll stops can be added.

We supply our pens with a Jowo #6 nib, alternatively the section can be made to fit a Bock #6 if requested.
