Brandon Lodewyk recently asked for input on whether he should do more fine art or fun art on our fountain pens. One answer was, Why not do both? So he did. Here he has drawn two baby elephants trying to catch bubbles. One is standing on a book, which symbolises building one’s knowledge, and the daisies represent simplicity. We think Brandon has achieved the perfect combination of fine and fun art.
This fountain pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, illustrated by Brandon in graphite then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polished, and buffed. We have added a silver section ring, silver cap band as well as a silver ring on the barrel, and our silver logo medallion is inside a bronze circle embedded in the cap finial.
Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is an original work of art. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.
