Yulia Glas has created a sister painting to her Japanese Cranes – here we present her Japanese Koi. As with her cranes painting, her koi pen is in traditional Japanese colours of gold, red and blue, and her stylised waves immediately speak of Japan! On the cap, two koi encircle the rising sun in a yin-yang fashion, one in light blue with scales outlined in darker blue; the other in darker blue colours with some white outlines.

Lana has mixed a very fabulous blue that echoes the pens darker blues, and Dave has added a bronze cap band, section ring and logo medallion embedded in the cap finial.
