We are delighted to introduce a new fountain pen artist, Renée Gerstner. Her very first pen, featuring koi, also knowns as living jewels, was a challenge for her but one we think she excelled at. Her fishes have a zen-like nature about them. The two on the barrel form an almost yin-yang shape with their bodies, and another one with their delicate tails. Lana mixed a custom orange resin that matches exactly the pattern on the one koi, and Dave used this same colour for the cap band. (Note: it is more orange-orange than the red-orange that shows in the photos.)
