Lisa Strachan has painted one of the most delightful and easy-to-grow garden flowers: Love in a Mist or Nigella. The first time I saw a photo of one of these flowers I immediately fell in love and ordered a packet of seeds online (in the days before such a things was commonly done!), so I can understand why Lisa chose this as the subject for her latest botanic art. She has created a very pale turquoise background, with her flowers in azure with touches of indigo.

Lana has mixed a perfect match to the pale turquoise for the grip section, and Dave has added a silver cap band, section ring and logo medallion embedded in the cap finial. Lisa has signed her work by initialling the barrel finial.
