Anubis and Horus hand-drawn fountain pen

Brandon Lodewyk has created this exceptionally powerful artwork on one of our fountain pens, featuring the Ancient Egyptian gods Anubis and Horus. Anubis, the jackal-headed god, was the protector and guide for the dead, reigning over embalming and funerals and the weighing of souls to determine whether they were worthy to proceed to the afterlife. Symbols associated with Anubis that Brandon has drawn include the scarab beetle, the scales, and the flail.
Horus as god of the sky. Here he is shown with wings, with his falcon head and human body. The anhk is the hieroglyphic symbol for life and represents the protection of life. Brandon included the symbol for the eye of Ra, the sun god, as he felt he could not have a god of the sky without the sun!
This fountain pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, illustrated by Brandon in graphite then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polished, and buffed. We have added a bronze section ring, cap band and our silver logo medallion is inside a bronze circle embedded in the cap finial.
Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is an original work of art. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 10,7 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their artwork, and the artwork is encased in a layer of clear resin to protect it from getting damaged during day-to-day use. Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap is a flush-fit and does not post. The Jabulani model usually comes with a hand-made, cap band and section ring in either Argentium silver or bronze, though this may differ depending on what best suits the artwork. Custom hand-crafted roll stops can be added.

We supply our pens with a Jowo #6 nib, alternatively the section can be made to fit a Bock #6 if requested.
