A Christmas Carol is one of the pens in The Christmas Collection, hand-painted by Hanna Farmer. The Collection is inspired by classic Christmas stories, and this is one of the most famous of them all. Charles Dickens’s novella, A Christmas Carol, was published on 19 December 1843 and by Christmas Eve it had sold out. Since then it has never been out of print.
Hanna has painted a miserable, miserly Scrooge being visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past and Present on the pen’s cap, and a remorseful, much happier Scrooge walking through a festive town and holding up Tiny Tim on the barrel. She has also quoted from the book, “I will honour Christmas in my heart and try to it all the year.”
This pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, painted and zendoodled by Hanna then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polished, and buffed. It has a sterling silver roll stop in the shape of a Christmas star, individually handmade by Aileen Février. We have added a ruby-red grip section to match Hanna’s Christmassy colours.
This pen can be bought individually or together with others from The Christmas Collection. One thing we ought to emphasise is that each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art, painted directly on to the pen. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.

SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a relatively wide girth of 16 mm (0,6″) narrowing to a 10,5 mm (0,4″) grip section. It has our logo on the finial, and the finial is ever-so-slightly rounded, rather than dead flat, which adds to the pen’s elegance.
