Audrey Hepburn – Iconic Women Series fountain pen

Hanna Farmer was asked if she had thought of painting a pen in honour of Audrey Hepburn and immediately said, Yes!!!! I had no idea Hanna was so enchanted by her that she even has a bottle of the perfume that Audrey Hepburn loved to wear, L’interdit by Givenchy. (As an aside, Audrey and Hubert de Givenchy were close friends and he designed many of her outfits, including her little black dress for Breakfast at Tiffany’s. She even insisted that he be given credit in one of her films for her perfume.) Hanna included a bottle of L’interdit in her painting.
Audrey Hepburn was a style icon, a legendary actress and an ambassador for UNICEF, with many famous films to her name, including War and Peace, Love in the Afternoon, Charade with Cary Grant, Funny Face with Fred Astaire, and the thriller, Wait Until Dark. Hanna has captured her instantly recognisable look, as well as several of her best quotes. These include: “Nothing is impossible. I’m possible.”, “For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others, for beautiful lips, speak words of kindness, and for poise walk with the knowledge that you are neer alone.”
The pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, painted and doodled by Hanna then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polished, and buffed. It has a hand-made argentium silver section ring, cap band, and logo medallion in the cap finial.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 10,7 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their artwork, and the artwork is encased in a layer of clear resin to protect it from getting damaged during day-to-day use. Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap is a flush-fit and does not post. The Jabulani model usually comes with a hand-made, cap band and section ring in either Argentium silver or bronze, though this may differ depending on what best suits the artwork. Custom hand-crafted roll stops can be added.

We supply our pens with a Jowo #6 nib, alternatively the section can be made to fit a Bock #6 if requested.
