A Fling of Flamingoes – original art fountain pen

R7,000

Lisa Strachan has created a delicately beautiful study of pink flamingoes, their beaks raised, the flush of pale cerise on their breasts revealed and their long, long, long legs drawn in such a way that it’s impossible to say where one bird’s legs begin and another’s ends. The background is a subtle turquoise-blue and we have paired it with a powder blue grip section.

This is an original, one-of-a-kind work of art painted on to a pen made by us at Stanford Pen Studio. By encasing the painting in clear resin we enable to owner to carry it and use it on a daily basis without damaging the artwork.

This pen has a bronze cap band, section ring and logo medallion that is embedded in the cap’s finial. Lisa’s has painted her initials on the base of the barrel.
