[Sold] Hundertwasser hand-painted fountain pen

R11,000

Val Myburgh took inspiration from the bright colours, iconic lollipop trees, higgledy-piggledy buildings and onion-shaped houses that were part of Friedensreich Hundertwasser’s distinctive style. He was an Austrian artist, with a doctorate in architecture, an ecological activist and a philosopher. According to his eponymous website, he was an important member of the international avante garde movement in Paris in the 1950s. Val, who similarly loves bold colours and quirky figures, has given his style her own interpretation, and this pen is bound to become a collector’s item.

The fountain pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, painted by Val then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polished, and buffed. We have added a ghost-green grip section, as well as a bronze section ring and cap band, and our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial.

Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.
