[Sold] Peacock Plume fountain pen

If this Peacock Plume fountain pen goes missing, it is because it has slipped into my pocket! Lisa Strachan has painted a study of peacock feathers in a gloriously dramatic style. The azure background highlights the colours so well. At the centre of each feather is a deep, dark purple ‘eye’, surrounded by a ring that is sapphire blue below fading into a lighter blue above, which in turn is inside a gold border fringed with emerald green. The individual barbs are streaks of black surrounded by dazzling gold. It has a vivacious, opulent feel. We have added a deep blue section grip that has both a shimmer and a colour shift effect as you tilt the pen from side to side.

This pen has a bronze section ring, no cap band as that would break up the effect, a bronze logo medallion in the cap finial and Lisa’s initials on the barrel finial.

Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art painted directly on to the fountain pen. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.

PS: Please note that the last photo shows that the black marks on this pen are not flaws but are in fact , in Lisa’s words, “from the way I painted the base in blue – it’s quite a gestural brush stoke and in some spots the brush strokes haven’t fully overlapped”. I can just picture Lisa painting this pen in a flamboyant yet totally absorbed mood, both focused and unselfconscious. No doubt that’s what makes it so spectacular.
