Poppies and a Bee Beaded Fountain Pen

Jackie Palmer was inspired by a bag that belonged to her late mom when she beaded this fountain pen. Jackie’s mom would buy a hessian bag with a suitable design to commemorate special days such as Christmas and Easter. She bought the bag with poppies and bees for Remembrance Day and when it finally wore out, Jackie kept a part of it that she  framed. It reminds her of her mom and makes her smile every time she looks at it. When Jackie delivered the beadwork to us, she realised that her mom had been gone 10 years to the day.

Jackie used a total of more than 1 500 tiny Miyuki Delica #11 beads (without a magnifier!!) to do the beadweaving; She has been beading for many years and finds it compulsively relaxing! Dave developed the new model and made the pen, and Lana mixed the custom resin colour. This pen comes with a bronze cap band and section ring, bronze-coloured clip and with our silver logo medallion inside a bronze ring embedded in the cap finial. It has a double start thread, to minimise the number of turns required to open and close the cap.

These beaded pens are also available with the option of a Jowo 1.1 or 1.5 stub nib.
