The Nutcracker, is one of the pens in The Christmas Collection, hand-painted by Hanna Farmer. The Collection is inspired by classic Christmas stories. The Nutcracker, which later became famous as a ballet, was originally a children’s short story written by the Prussian author E T A Hoffman. Hanna has included so many details from the story … the mice; the young Marie and her beau, The Nutcracker, who is cured of an evil spell when she swears she will love him even though he has been cursed to be ugly; the toys who come alive; the ballerina who immediately evokes for me the music box tinkles that I associate with the ballet.
This pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, painted and zendoodled by Hanna then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polished, and buffed. It has a sterling silver roll stop in the shape of a star, individually handmade by Aileen Février.
This pen can be bought individually or together with others from The Christmas Collection. One thing we ought to emphasise is that each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 10,7 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their artwork, and the artwork is encased in a layer of clear resin to protect it from getting damaged during day-to-day use. Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap is a flush-fit and does not post. The Jabulani model usually comes with a hand-made, cap band and section ring in either Argentium silver or bronze, though this may differ depending on what best suits the artwork. Custom hand-crafted roll stops can be added.

We supply our pens with a Jowo #6 nib, alternatively the section can be made to fit a Bock #6 if requested.
