Based on the Jules Verne novel, Hanna Farmer’s interpretation of 20 000 Leagues Under the Sea, is a fabulous pen, in every sense of the word. She has included Captain Nemo’s Nautilus being attacked by a giant squid or devilfish, and attempts to harpoon the monster; divers wandering the ocean depths in the company of sharks, rays and turtles; a steampunky view through a porthole; and a man trapped in a giant tentacle.
20 000 Leagues Under the Sea is the third in a current series of 3 Jules Verne pens painted by Hanna. So far she has also painted Journey to the Center of the Earth and The Mysterious Island.
This pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, painted and zendoodled by Hanna then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polished, and buffed. It has a bronze cap band, section ring, and bronze logo medallion in the cap finial, and we have added a teal section. The pen comes with a steel Jowo #6 nib.
Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art, hence no-one else will ever own an identical pen.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 10,7 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their artwork, and the artwork is encased in a layer of clear resin to protect it from getting damaged during day-to-day use. Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap is a flush-fit and does not post. The Jabulani model usually comes with a hand-made, cap band and section ring in either Argentium silver or bronze, though this may differ depending on what best suits the artwork. Custom hand-crafted roll stops can be added.
