[Sold] Chillin’ with Sharks – hand-painted fountain pen

R7,000

Carla Nel painted this whimsical pen with people rowing while sharks, much bigger than the rowboat, circle lazily beneath them. But she has a soft spot for sharks, who tend to have a bad rep and she did not want these sharks to look sinister. (She had originally intended the sharks to be Great Whites. But that felt scary.) So she made the sharks wider. Which, I agree, makes them look much friendlier.

The sharks and boats are in stippled black against a very pale powder-blue background. We have added a glossy black grip section, engraved nib, logo medallion in copper surrounded by a bronze ring, and a bronze cap band and bronze section ring.

One thing we should emphasise is that each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.
