[Sold] Ferns – hand-painted fountain pen

Artist and graphic designer Carla Nel brings a bright young energy into this painting. She loves using a combination of stippled pen and gentle hints of colour and here the effect is perfect – the ferns are verdant while also light and airy, Her colours offer a very subtle gradation between variations of green, and even her bee has the faintest nuance of colour. Every artist who joins our group brings a completely new perspective and we think Carla is going to add a wonderful young energy and a huge amount of talent. Well done, Carla!
This pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, drawn and painted by Carla Nel, then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polish, and buffing. It has a bronze cap band and logo medallion in the finial, and a malachite green grip section that has a swirl of shimmer.
One thing we must emphasise is that each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 10,7 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their artwork, and the artwork is encased in a layer of clear resin to protect it from getting damaged during day-to-day use. Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap is a flush-fit and does not post. The Jabulani model usually comes with a hand-made, cap band and section ring in either Argentium silver or bronze, though this may differ depending on what best suits the artwork. Custom hand-crafted roll stops can be added.

We supply our pens with a Jowo #6 nib, alternatively the section can be made to fit a Bock #6 if requested.
