[Sold] Magic Mushrooms – hand-painted fountain pen

After painting the Psychedelic Shrooms pen, artist and graphic designer Carla Nel was so inspired she then created this artwork on a fountain pen. The background, painted in watercolour, are luminous blues, turquoises, cyans and ceruleans, with just a touch of phthalo green.. The shrooms have been drawn and stippled in an extremely fine fineliner pen against a white background, and Carla has included a wide variety of exotic and magic mushrooms
The pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, drawn and painted by Carla Nel, then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polished, and buffed. It has a bronze cap band and section ring, as well as a bronze logo medallion in the cap finial, and a turquoise grip section. And yip, there is indeed an ‘Easter egg’ (a tiny shroom on the barrel finial).
One thing we should emphasise is that each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art. No-one else will ever own an identical pen.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 10,7 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their artwork, and the artwork is encased in a layer of clear resin to protect it from getting damaged during day-to-day use. Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap is a flush-fit and does not post. The Jabulani model usually comes with a hand-made, cap band and section ring in either Argentium silver or bronze, though this may differ depending on what best suits the artwork. Custom hand-crafted roll stops can be added.

We supply our pens with a Jowo #6 nib, alternatively the section can be made to fit a Bock #6 if requested.
