[Sold] Gaudi painted fountain pen
One of the most complex designs Hanna Farmer has ever painted on a fountain pen is this tribute to Antoni Gaudi. Hanna has always loved his work and has visited many of his architectural masterpieces in Barcelona. In this pen she reflects his fascination with natural forms, now known as biomimicry, such as the recurrent honeycomb pattern; the organic shapes atop the spires on some of his buildings; his stained glass flowers; the onion shapes he was known for, and the giant salamander at the entrance to Park Güell. I am awed by the way she has interpreted a portrait of the artist using a motif of shards of stained glass in a mosaic fashion. For lovers of art and architecture, and of course fountain pens, this is a collector’s item.
The pen was made by us at Stanford Pen Studio, painted and drawn by Hanna then coated in a clear resin by ourselves and given its final shape, polished, and buffed. We have included a silver cap band, section ring, and logo medallion in the cap finial, and we have added a teal blue grip section.
Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is a 1/1 original work of art, hence no-one else will ever own an identical pen.

The Jabulani model
SPECIFICATIONS
This is a gently curvaceous model, with a girth of 16 mm (0,6”), narrowing to a 10,7 mm (0,4”) grip section. The relatively large size of the model is to allow the artist sufficient space for their artwork, and the artwork is encased in a layer of clear resin to protect it from getting damaged during day-to-day use. Our logo medallion is embedded in the cap finial which is ever-so-slightly rounded, and the barrel finial is ever-so-slightly conical. The cap is a flush-fit and does not post. The Jabulani model usually comes with a hand-made, cap band and section ring in either Argentium silver or bronze, though this may differ depending on what best suits the artwork. Custom hand-crafted roll stops can be added.

We supply our pens with a Jowo #6 nib, alternatively the section can be made to fit a Bock #6 if requested.
